The only think I have to say negative was the hotel entry doors seemed to be inoperative so they were fairly difficult to open and I’m a pretty big dude. Other than that wonderful stay. "Hotel was impeccably clean and attractive, very well kept up with comfortable bed and great shower / tub combo. The Japanese baths were a unique amenity. In my opinion the hotel restaurants were overpriced and although I appreciate the minimalistic approach to the rooms, there wasn’t hardly any space for our luggage and belongings. Overall a great stay. "

"I would highly recommend this hotel. We chose it at first because of the free parking - a rarity in a big city. The location was very good - a short direct drive to downtown and Washington Park is very close.I was a little leery as we got off the elevator to an outside corridor with cement block walls, but I quickly learned that the room was very good. It was a very large suite with a complete kitchen. There was a good-sized living room as you entered, with many windows to provide light and a beautiful view of Portland. In fact, although we didn't see it the first day, you could even see Mount Hood. As a final benefit, they provided complimentary tickets to the Japanese Garden, which may not always happen."
